About the Fellowship
We're looking for students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals to join Jason Knapp's congressional campaign as Fellows. This fellowship is a chance to get real, hands-on experience on a competitive congressional campaign in Virginia's First District as we head into the August 4 primary.
If you're into politics, organizing, or community outreach and want to see how a campaign really comes together, apply now to join our team. For questions, contact Diana at [email protected]
About the Role
Fellows work directly with campaign staff and senior volunteers on the daily work of the campaign. You'll get experience across field organizing, communications, and have a real part in reaching and turning out voters across VA-01.
What You'll Do
-
Help with voter outreach, including canvassing, phone banking, and text banking
-
Support the field team with volunteer recruitment, training prep, and turnout
-
Enter and track campaign data, including voter contacts and volunteer hours
-
Assist with events, including community gatherings, volunteer activities, and fundraisers
-
Provide general support such as coordinating with staff and volunteers
What We're Looking For
-
Able to give at least 5-10 hours a week during the fellowship
-
Current undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduate or early-career
-
Interest in campaigns, politics, and community organizing
-
Comfortable talking with people
-
Organized, reliable, and good with details
-
Experience with campaign tools like VAN is a plus, but we'll train you!
Location
Hybrid/remote role with a mix of remote work and in-person activities across Virginia's First District (VA-01).
