JOB DESCRIPTION

Ryan Peterman for Iowa Secretary of State is seeking a full-time Finance Director. The Finance Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager and work closely with the candidate. This position is based in Davenport, Iowa, with potential flexibility to work remotely within the state. The salary for this position is $4,000-$4,500 per month.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in campaign fundraising and managing call time is highly preferred, but not required.

• Past experience working in Iowa politics is preferred but not required.

• Experience and proficiency with ActBlue, Google Suite, and Call Time AI, or comparable CRM’s.

• Flexible schedule, availability to work on weeknights and weekends.

• Quick problem solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively on a team.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work effectively with the candidate, campaign team, and campaign supporters.

Job roles and duties:

• Conduct donor research, and organize and prepare donor information for call time.

• Manage and staff candidate call time.

• Assist in updating and maintaining a finance plan.

• Manage cash flow and donor database.

• Assist in scheduling, planning, and coordinating fundraising events.

• Staff political events as needed.

• Any other campaign tasks as necessary.
