JOB DESCRIPTION

The Representative Ryan Bizzarro re-election campaign seeks organized, hardworking Field Organizers. The Field Organizer will work with the Campaign Manager to implement the campaign’s direct voter contact plan throughout Pennsylvania’s 3rd House District in Erie County.

This is a campaign cycle, in-person, full-time position based in Erie County, PA. The field program will play a critical role in the campaign strategy, and the field organizers will play an important part in implementing it.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Recruit and train volunteers in door knocking and phone canvassing

● Knock doors and make phone calls to ensure voter contact goals are met

● Maintain up-to-date volunteer records

● Ensure data integrity

● Report conversations and field goals to campaign and HDCC staff.

● Staff and represent candidate at events, as needed

SKILLS

● Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment;

● Ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public;

● Excellent oral and written communication skills;

● Commitment to maintaining a Democratic Majority in the PA State House

QUALIFICATIONS:

● A driver’s license, reliable access to a car, and a smartphone are all required to fulfill this role

● Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, with the ability to to lift 30+ pounds

Local ties preferred, but not required.

Salary ranges from $4,000-$4,500 a month and is commensurate with experience. A platinum healthcare plan is offered through HDCC for full time employees.
