Role Overview:
The Director of Finance Operations is responsible for overseeing the Management of Michigan fundraising events, Management of Deputy Events Director and support with cashflow and donor management. Reporting to Katie Costello, Senior Finance Director. This will be a full time position based in Ann Arbor, MI, although there is flexibility with remote work and a relocation timeline. This position offers compensation in the form of a monthly salary and healthcare benefits.
Responsibilities:

Management of Michigan fundraising events

Management of Deputy Events Director

Support with cashflow
-
Donor management

Principal Staffing
-
Compliance and donor management
-
Set and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly fundraising goals

Coordinate with campaign leadership and other campaign finance team members to align finance strategy with budget needs

Draft fundraising materials including materials for fundraisers, direct mail, and other appeals for raising

Expand the donor base through strategic research and outreach

Track, analyze, and report fundraising performance metrics

Oversee daily donation processing, deposits, and data entry.

Ensure all campaign fundraising activities comply with FEC regulations.

Review and approve FEC reports prior to submission.

Qualifications (Required):
-
Proven experience raising money for a federal campaign
-
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Strong communication skills, both internal and external.

A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in campaign finance required

Must have transportation to attend events as needed

Proficiency with Excel and Google Drive, NGP
-
Willingness to work irregular hours including some nights and weekends.

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions

Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail

Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate
