JOB DESCRIPTION

Campaign Fellow — Chris McCreight for Assembly

Location: Bay Ridge, Brighton Beach, Dyker Heights, Coney Island, and Seagate

Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (Hybrid)

Position Overview

Come join Chris McCreight for Assembly and help us flip New York State Assembly District 46 this November! Gain political experience in a fast-paced, dynamic campaign.

Campaign Fellows will develop in-depth knowledge of campaign field operations, fundraising, event coordination, and build a network of political professionals. As a Fellow gains experience, their responsibilities may increase to organizing canvassers, phone banks, and fundraising parties.

This role is ideal for driven students interested in politics, campaign management, or civil service. It will offer insight into how the qualitative and quantitative aspects of campaign strategy dovetail to win a general election. A prospective Fellow should be highly organized, reliable, and have strong communication skills. Previous volunteer experience is not required. Fellows with bilingual language abilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Field Strategy & Execution

  • Execute metrics-driven voter contact programs (door-to-door, phone banks, texting).

  • Cut turf using VAN.

  • Keep systems up to date with efficient entry, tracking, and field data analysis.

Voter & Community Outreach

  • Represent the campaign at neighborhood events, community meetings, and local gatherings.

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing and have meaningful conversations with voters.

  • Participate in phone banking as needed to identify supporters and mobilize voters.

  • Help with fundraising efforts, including donor outreach and event preparation.

Volunteer Engagement

  • Assist with recruiting, welcoming, and coordinating volunteers.

  • Build a strong volunteer pipeline through outreach, partnerships, and community engagement.
