JOB DESCRIPTION

Hope for America is a rapidly growing liberal/progressive media brand that includes a best-selling Substack, and established audiences on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Hope For America is seeking a politically informed, YouTube-native producer to own our video content operation from initial idea through publication and performance analysis.

YouTube will be the primary focus, but you will also oversee our Shorts and clipping strategy and schedule content across our other social and digital platforms.

Your goal is to complete all preproduction work so our hosts can focus on filming. After recording, you will manage the raw content, coordinate with video editors, review revisions, publish the finished content, and monitor performance.

Responsibilities

- Develop timely political video ideas.

- Research stories and prepare clips, sources, talking points and filming materials.

- Create YouTube hooks, titles, thumbnail concepts and content strategies.

- Organize raw footage and manage editor handoffs, reviews and revisions.

- Develop Shorts, Reels and social clips from long-form content.

- Maintain the production and publishing calendar.

- Schedule and publish content across YouTube and other platforms.

- Monitor analytics and turn performance data into actionable improvements.

-Oversee the guest booking plan and implementation

- Prepare notes, clips, and talking points for podcast episodes

Qualifications

- Deep familiarity with American politics and liberal or progressive perspectives.

- Strong understanding of YouTube, Shorts, titles, thumbnails, and audience retention.

- Experience producing digital video, political media, journalism, podcasts or creator content.

- Strong writing, research, editorial and project-management skills.

- Experience working with video editors and managing content through publication.

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a fast-moving content pipeline.
