JOB DESCRIPTION

Q Force is seeking a paid intern to help with its 2026 Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations. This

is a mostly remote position with some required in-person meetings and events. There will also

be several in-person Q Force canvasses in Michigan, Wisconsin, and potentially other

neighboring swing states that the intern will be expected to attend as many as reasonably

possible. While this role will be mainly focused on volunteer recruitment and organizing, the

intern can also expect to pitch in wherever needed including, but not limited to: assisting with

event planning and execution and assisting with Q Force email and social media programs to

recruit volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Create and execute a strategy for volunteer recruitment, ideally recruiting volunteers of

all ages and backgrounds, from all parts of the LGBTQ+ community, though allies are

most welcome.

● Lead volunteer recruitment and engagement for all Q Force canvasses with a special

attention on recruiting volunteers ages 18-35

● Lead and assist State Chairs with organizing Q Force canvasses in swing states (note:

the intern will not need to cut turf for this)

● Lead and assist the organizing and execution of phone and text banks

● Field volunteer questions and address them

● This role reports to the Q Force Co-Chairs

About You:

● You are a self-starter who is able to work independently and hit the ground running

● You know how to communicate professionally and proactively

● You are organized and pay attention to the details

● You’re comfortable receiving and giving feedback

● You are both politically savvy and politically involved

Required Skills & Qualifications:

● Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to work on tight deadlines

● Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively

● Must be highly organized and be able to keep track of many moving priorities at the

same time

● Comfortable working with and speaking to all kinds of people

● Comfortable using the phone to call, recruit, and engage volunteers

● Ability to both leverage personal networks and to easily forge new connections with

people you may not know

● Commitment to electing Democrats and defeating MAGA Republicans

● Ability to produce graphics, reels, and text based posts for social media is a major plus

● Familiarity with Canva is a major plus

Pay & Hours

This role pays $2,000 per month to be paid via biweekly stipend and will be 20 hours per week.
