JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is seeking a full-time ** Finance Assistant** to support a fundraising operation based in Harrisburg, PA. With the Governor’s race at the top of the ticket, battle for control of the General Assembly, and 4 of the most competitive congressional seats in the country, we are building a permanent, year-round finance team ready to meet the moment and build a durable operation that lasts beyond the November midterms.
The Finance Assistant will assist our party leaders, manage and staff principal call time, and conduct donor research and outreach for in-person fundraisers and meetings, as well as support finance department operations.
Key Responsibilities

Support party leadership: assist the Chair and Vice Chair with schedule management, event logistics, and other tasks as directed.

Call time: schedule, prepare, and staff call time with the Chair and other principals, prepare call sheets, manage follow-up, and ensure all touchpoints are tracked properly.

Events: lead outreach for and staff fundraising events, track RSVPs, and lead follow-up.

Donor acknowledgments: assist with the acknowledgment process to maintain donor stewardship, including drafting thank-you letters, coordinating timelines, and tracking outreach.

Donor prospecting: conduct deep donor research to identify targets and expand our donor network

Pledge tracking: support the Finance Director with pledge tracking and chasing, maintaining accurate records and flagging outstanding commitments.

Compliance: assist with compliance processes including processing checks, in-kind contribution forms, and campaign receipts.

Special projects: support special projects and strategic fundraising initiatives as they arise throughout the cycle.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of political or related experience (including internships)

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Hands-on experience with relationship management

Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging donors and stakeholders across a range of backgrounds.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as the fundraising calendar requires.

Experience working with ActBlue, NGP, or similar CRMs

Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation, with willingness to travel as needed throughout Pennsylvania

Compensation: $4,500 - $5,500 per month, with employer-sponsored healthcare
