Job Description

Vikki Goodwin for Texas is seeking a Finance Assistant support to the campaign's fundraising operation for the 2026 General Election. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the campaign and the candidate in their efforts to raise funds by researching donors, assisting with call time, staffing fundraising events and meetings, and using best practices and testing new methods to meet fundraising goals.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, and relationship builder who can thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing donor research

• Promote and staff fundraising events

• Candidate fundraising support and consultation

• Manage fundraising database and maintain data integrity

• Create fundraising and follow-up materials

• And all other duties as assigned by the Finance Director

• Creating graphics and communications

• Staffing candidate call time

Requirements

• Ideal candidates will have at least one cycle of finance experience

• Well organized

• Committed to electing Democrats

• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, as necessary

• Adaptable

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, NGPVAN, Act Blue, or other similar donor database experience

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and ask questions
