JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

Friends of Kathleen Clendaniel is building a people-powered campaign to elect Katie Clendaniel to the Maryland State Senate in District 37. The district includes Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, and Wicomico Counties.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Field Organizer to recruit, train, and support volunteers and help execute an ambitious voter contact program across the Eastern Shore. This is a field facing role for someone who enjoys meeting people, making clear asks, and turning supporters into volunteer leaders.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reports to: Campaign Manager

Location: Maryland Senate District 37, with regular travel across Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, and Wicomico Counties

Term: Early September 2026 through November 3, 2026

Status: Part time to full time

Schedule: Generally 15 to 40 hours per week. Evening and weekend availability is required. Hours may increase during the final get out the vote period.

Compensation: $20 to $27 per hour, commensurate with experience

Benefits and other compensation: Mileage reimbursement for approved campaign travel. This temporary position does not include health or retirement benefits.
