Position Summary
Community Canvassers are the frontline organizers driving the mission of Badger Youth Organizing / Badger Youth Action in neighborhoods, at community events, and at civic gatherings across our target communities in Southeastern, Western, and Northeastern Wisconsin. Canvassers lead direct, on-the-ground civic engagement efforts focused on empowering young people, especially communities of color, to vote and take action on the issues that matter most to them.
As a Canvasser, you'll be responsible for executing door-to-door canvassing strategies and staffing street team activities at festivals, civic holidays, and community gatherings to register voters, educate residents about key issues, and build a visible presence for the organization in the communities we serve. You'll also support key administrative duties, assist with event logistics, attend team meetings, and help maintain the organization’s digital presence to amplify civic content.
This role is for someone energized by talking to new people, passionate about civic power, and eager to turn everyday community spaces into sites of democratic participation. The strongest candidates will be bold, persistent, and deeply committed to meeting young people where they are, at their doors, on their blocks, and at the events they love.
