JOB DESCRIPTION

David Jolly’s campaign for governor is seeking a dedicated and hard working press assistant for the 2026 cycle. The Press Assistant will assist the Communications Director with the department’s internal operations, including tracking press requests, monitoring news coverage, and keeping press lists up to date.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, high levels of organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Florida ties are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Communications Director with internal communications operations, including tracking press requests and monitoring news coverage

  • Build and maintain local, national, and constituency press lists

  • Help draft press releases, media advisories, talking points, and other external communications

  • Assist with other communications duties as needed
