JOB DESCRIPTION

Thank you for your interest in the National Redistricting Foundation (NRF). NRF’s mission is to dismantle unfair electoral maps and create a redistricting system based on democratic values. The Litigation and Policy Department develops and provides legal and policy analysis to achieve the organization’s mission.

NRF offers legal and policy internship opportunities for current JD, MPP, and MPA candidates during Spring, Summer, and Fall. Our internships are designed to be an integral part of your educational experience, offering practical skills and insights that complement your academic studies.

We are currently accepting applications for Spring 2027. Our Summer 2027 applications will open in early 2027. If you applied for our internship program for any of our 2026 cohorts, please reapply to be considered for the 2027 cohorts.

Summer internships are full time (up to 40 hours per week) and Spring & Fall internships are part time (up to 20 hours per week).

• Spring 2027

• Begins: Monday, February 1

• Ends: Friday, April 9

• Applications close: Friday, November 20 at 5PM ET

• Tentative interview period: Monday, November 23 through Friday, January 8

• Summer 2027

• Begins: Monday, June 7

• Ends: Friday, August 13

• Fall 2027

• Begins: Monday, September 20

• Ends: Friday, November 19

Hiring Process

You can expect to complete 1-2 interviews, as well as a short skills assessment, as a part of our hiring process.
