JOB DESCRIPTION

About The Organization

We are a new political organization bringing leaders and allies together around a common AI safety agenda for Democrats. We exist to make sure Democrats have staked out a comprehensive AI Safety agenda, by building the coalitions needed to win elections on AI safety and govern AI so that the public sets the rules for the technology.

The Role

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving startup environment, and eager to help build a new organization from the ground up. They need to be discreet and professional since they will be in meetings with high-level stakeholders. Their primary responsibilities will involve managing the two co-founders’ extensive calendars and correspondence which includes preparing briefing materials and agendas. They will also be responsible for supporting logistics around conferences, listening sessions, and events. It is critical that they keep internal workflows and deadlines on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience

  • A “no job is too big or too small” and “I’ll figure it out” attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage principles and competing priorities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, work environment

  • Willingness to work late nights and weekends.

  • Residence in New York City area, working in-office at least 4 days per week
