Justice Democrats: 2026 Cycle Independent Expenditure Manager
Justice Democrats is seeking a politically aligned and detail-oriented firm or individual contractor to serve as an Independent Expenditure Manager for the 2026 cycle. This dynamic role will play an important role in supporting IE coordination and execution across our key races.
This position is open to a firm or an individual.
Core Responsibilities
- IE Programming Management
- Plan and execute IE programs for endorsed JD candidates
- Project management: including vendor management and advising around paid communications and ad placement, around federal elections
- Collaborate with PAC Director on RFP process for vendor selection for our IE efforts
- Lead on internal and external debriefs regarding IE work after elections, including decks/memos/report on lessons learned & best practices after elections
- IE Political Coalition Management
- Drive participation from allied organizations to participate to the fullest extent possible in our IE efforts, and ongoing relationship management
- Manage IE tables for JD endorsed races (or co-lead as it makes sense)
- Expand and develop the coalition tables for each race.
- Collaborate internally with Justice Democrats to ensure our coalition work is aligned with our longterm strategy.
- Budgeting, Compliance, Finance
- Draft and manage budget for the Unlimited Account, with support from Managing Director
- Support maintenance of appropriate databases and systems (NGP, Warchest, Numero)
- Work with JD’s counsel, compliance firm, and managing director to ensure compliance of all IE programs and related activities
- Fundraising
- Regular engagement with political partners to make relevant fundraising asks
- Be part of the team managing the relationships with high dollar IE donors, in collaboration with the fundraising team. In particular talking to donors about the programmatic work of the IE.
- Events - support as needed, by attending, and staffing events.
- Support and own assigned aspects of fundraising material preparation and regular updating - for example developing budgets that can be shared with donors, memos and/or prospectus drafting.
- Participate in organizational projects as relevant to IE fundraising

- Contract Position: August/September 2025 - November/December 2026, with possibility of extension
