The Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring Harris for President's adherence to campaign finance regulations. This position will be responsible for overseeing the process for identifying and addressing excessive contributions, preparing contribution imports, and supporting FEC report clean up. Candidates should have compliance experience and strong data management skills. The position will report to the Director of Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the process for resolving excessive contributions, ensuring timely and accurate attributions and refunds
  • Coordinate with Compliance Associates to maintain NGP data integrity during 48 hour reporting
  • Import monetary and in-kind contributions in reporting database
  • Collaborate with the FEC reporting team to review disbursement data entry before filing
  • Conduct research to support campaign’s response to RFAIs
  • Maintain organizational filing system and historical records
  • Other compliance-related tasks as assigned

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with political or non-profit organizations required
  • Knowledge of campaign finance rules and FEC reporting regulations required
  • Experience with using the compliance database software, NGP, required
  • Excellent data management skills; Experience working with advanced formulas, large datasets, and macros
  • Ability to triage (i.e., know which projects and tasks are the most pressing and prioritize accordingly)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to handle projects with the appropriate level of discretion and confidentiality
  • A team player with a mindset that no task is too small and no problem too large
  • Exceptional attention to detail
