We’re looking for a Business Analytics Manager to join our Shared Services Area.

So that’s us. Now about the work:

  • The Business Analytics Manager is part of our Shared Services Area - composed of finance, operations, people, marketing, information technology. We make sure M+R is set up to deliver outstanding services to clients such as Planned Parenthood, League of Conservation Voters, PETA, Oceana, and International Rescue Committee.
  • Day-to-day, the Business Analytics Manager is responsible for analyzing and improving the company’s operational processes through data modeling and analysis. This role involves collecting and interpreting data to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support decision-making to enhance overall operational performance.

Here’s what you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Collaborate with business development leadership developing analytics and data-driven insights to support the company’s growth initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends to identify and pursue opportunities that drive business growth, such as market expansion, new product development, or customer acquisition.
  • Develop analytical models to assess the potential impact of various growth strategies.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize business development initiatives and maximize ROI.
  • Develop and manage retention analytics and reporting.
  • Track contract renewals and retention rate management.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting and Business Leadership, acting as a strategic partner on decision making.
  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements.
  • Monitor the impact of process changes and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide data entry and reporting support for staffing operations, including weekly data imports and updating monthly close/end reports.
  • Maintain staffing system and timekeeping system, updating titles, categories, and adding new positions.
  • Do your part to help us run smoothly, including carefully tracking all of your hours.

Skills and experiences required for this role:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a finance or analytics role.
  • Proven ability to project manage and support various stakeholders of varying seniority.
  • Experience utilizing Google or Microsoft Suite to develop complex models.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize tools and systems to produce error free work.
  • Experience analyzing data, reporting, and making recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to run meetings to identify project goals and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively in a way that articulates your ideas and conveys your expertise, whether on the phone, in-person, or in writing.

Skills and experiences that are preferred, but not required:

  • Experience utilizing Workday Adaptive, Sage Intacct, and Tableau.

Salary and benefits:

  • This is an exempt position. The salary for this position is $98.294. As part of M+R’s commitment to compensation equity and transparency, we have a no negotiation policy. Salary negotiations can introduce bias and perpetuate wage inequality. If your years of relevant experience for this position are more than what is required above, we may offer a higher starting salary to reflect that. Staff at M+R who successfully meet their performance expectations have regular opportunities for promotion with accompanying increases in compensation.

The fine print:
M+R staff have the option to be fully remote within the United States, or work from one of M+R’s office locations (Washington DC or New York City).
