Campaign Coordinator – 21st District Democratic Team
Location: Laurel Office and Virtual, District 21 (Prince George’s & Anne Arundel Counties)
Position Type: Full-time | Salary Based on Experience & Benefit Needs
Overview:
The 21st District Democratic Team seeks a strategic, organized, and highly motivated Campaign Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations of the campaign. This role is central to the campaign in District 21 and will support the re-election of all three State Delegates as well as the State Senator.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, sound political judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment.
Flexible hours available including opportunities to work from home. As is the nature of campaign work, some weekends and evenings will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Management
- Lead volunteer recruitment and mobilization efforts
- Implement both big & small yard sign programs
- Coordinate primary and general election day poll coverage
Communications Development
- Implement strategic mail, email, text, and social media campaigns
- Assist candidates with messaging, ensuring consistency and alignment across the campaign
Budget Oversight
- Oversee the complete budget for the campaign, including the development of a budget plan
- Keep track of accounts receivable and payable
- Support fundraising efforts and plan fundraisers
Event Planning
- Plan various phone banks, zoom calls, and campaign events
- Provide logistical and/or technical support for events, both virtual and in-person
Voter File & List Management
- Use VAN in all of it’s functionalities to support the campaign, including cutting turf, creating scripts, and building lists
- Maintain an active list of volunteers that can provide support to the campaign, this list should be continually growing
- Ensure lists are kept private and maintain the integrity of all sensitive campaign materials
Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
- Campaign Experience Preferred
- Data base skills (VAN/NGP) Required
- Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and lead groups of volunteers
- Strong political judgment and discretion with sensitive campaign information/resources
