Description

YouTube Media Buyer — Political

Longwell Partners is a full-service, pro-democracy communications firm based in Washington, DC. We specialize in high-profile political projects—including The Bulwark, Home of the Brave, and Republican Voters Against Trump—and we’re looking for a YouTube media buyer specialist to help design and deliver targeted digital campaigns that reach influential audiences and drive measurable impact.

If you’re a creative problem-solver with hands-on experience managing YouTube ad campaigns, and you’re motivated by the chance to put those skills to work advancing a pro-democracy mission, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone with experience planning and executing paid media campaigns who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants their work to make a real difference in today’s political landscape. You’ll play a key part in shaping how our campaigns reach and persuade audiences, turning data and creative strategy into meaningful political impact.

Working closely with senior members of the political and media teams, you’ll take ownership of campaign setup, management, and performance, specifically, but ultimately not limited to, YouTube, while also contributing to broader communications and messaging strategy. You’ll have opportunities to expand into other channels, such as Meta ads and connected TV.

It’s a hands-on role where you’ll test strategies, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable improvements. You’ll collaborate with colleagues who value curiosity, precision, and creativity, and you’ll help bring to life some of the most dynamic pro-democracy campaigns in the country.

Outside of election season, you’ll also contribute to research, political strategy, and communications projects that support our ongoing advocacy work.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan, launch, and manage paid campaigns on Google Ads Manager
  • Execute campaigns with precise targeting, budgeting, and scheduling to achieve acquisition and persuasion goals.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to improve reach, efficiency, and ROI.
  • Produce reports and insights for internal teams to evaluate results and guide messaging strategy.

Why Join Us?

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $85,000
  • 100% covered medical insurance
  • Metro-accessible, downtown DC location
  • Opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow within a mission-driven, high-performance team that values hard work, initiative, and collaboration

How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter to [email protected]. In your cover letter, please tell us why you’re interested in Longwell Partners and how your experience makes you a strong fit for this role.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–4 years of hands-on experience in digital media buying and political advertising, with a focus on YouTube campaigns.
  • Strong familiarity with and hands-on experience using Google Ads Manager, including experience managing budgets and optimizing live campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of how political messages and creative content influence public opinion.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret performance data, and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
  • Ability to be in the office (downtown DC) five days a week. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with additional platforms such as X (Twitter), TikTok, or programmatic DSPs.
  • Experience in advocacy, politics, or issue-based communications.
