Description

We are seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Operations Associate to support the execution of the priorities of the Michigan Coordinated Campaign. This role will be critical in ensuring campaign activities—ranging from voter outreach to field operations—run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, is detail-oriented, and works best when collaborating with other departments.

Key Responsibilities & Characteristics

  • Create various Operations Department onboarding documents and materials for in person onboardings
  • Serve as the point of contact for for all headquarter needs, including supply needs and deliveries
  • Assist the Operations Department with facilitating statewide supply audits and reorders
  • Track expenses incurred by the Operations Department on specific projects and events and update budget trackers and inform leadership of changing environments
  • Track mileage reimbursements as they come into our mile tracking software and confirm reports
  • Manage and provide access to various campaign software, and onboard individuals to each platform
  • Conduct ad-hoc research for the Operation Department and other departments as needed
  • Vet and research potential candidates, venues, and vendors prior to their onboarding
  • Assist the Deputy Operations Directors with drafting new HR, Finance, and Operational policies
  • Assist the Deputy Operations Directors in drafting weekly and monthly newsletters to the State
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned by the Deputy Operations Director

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or field operations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with voter databases or campaign tools (e.g., NGP VAN, NationBuilder, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting

Salary, Benefits, and Logistics

The salary is $5,000.00 per month. This position includes a full benefits package of health, vision, and dental insurance coverage.

Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to Detroit, Michigan. Applicants must have access to a car, have the ability to travel throughout the state for up to several days at a time, and must have a valid driver’s license.
