Coordinated Campaign Operations Associate

The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Operations Associate to assist in the operational excellence of the DFL Coordinated Campaign for the 2026 cycle.
As Operations Associate, you will play an important role in ensuring the seamless functioning of the day-to-day operations of the Coordinated Campaign, with a special focus on supporting the operations of the Organizing team, which is the largest team in the Coordinated Campaign. In this role, you will support operational processes and maintain systems that empower our staff, enhance communication across departments, and drive the logistical success of our campaign initiatives.
The Operations Associate reports to the Operations Director with a preferred start date of June 24, 2026. This position is based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across the Coordinated Campaign to assist in the timely execution of operations processes.
- Support the onboarding of Organizing staff, including coordinating tech set-up and arranging logistics for training.
- Support the Operations team with procurement of services and materials, expense reporting, and direct billing for vendors and staff.
- Assist in the logistical management of field offices across the state, especially with office logistics and inventory management.
- Provide logistical support for special events and weekends of action, especially with materials and supplies.
- Work with other members of the Coordinated Campaign to ensure the overall effective functioning of the Operations team.
- Support special projects as assigned by the Operations Director and Coordinated Campaign leadership team.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and to troubleshoot problems and come up with creative solutions
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills with both managers and team members
- Expertise with the Google suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
- Ability to work long or irregular hours, including some nights and weekends
- Customer service mindset and willingness to pitch in on special projects
- Demonstrated commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot
Preferred but not required:
- Minnesota experience or ties to the state
- Experience working on Democratic campaigns
- An understanding of how campaign offices are set up and what they need to function well
- Experience executing systems
COVID Addendum: While many meetings and events can still happen virtually or over the phone, Coordinated Campaign staff is expected to work in-person, within reason and with safety precautions in place.
Compensation: Salary is $2,172.50 bi-weekly, commensurate with experience. Employees of the DFL are paid on a bi-weekly basis and receive a competitive benefits package including health care and dental.
This position runs through the end of the 2026 election cycle, exact end date to be determined.
