Coordinated Campaign Data Associate

The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party is seeking an individual to join our team as a Data Associate for the 2026 Election Cycle and become an integral part of the team to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis, with a priority for those that apply by July 15th, 2026 The preferred start date is August 10th, and will conclude on November 13th, 2026. This position reports to the Data Director and is based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing data support to every DFL endorsed campaign and party unit through the state
- Maintain data standards to ensure data capture and hygiene
- Support the building of reports and tools for the Minnesota Coordinated Campaign team in line with key programmatic priorities
- Support other members of the Data Team to complete projects as necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Votebuilder/VAN
- Experience with Google Sheets or Excel
- Experience with Scale to Win, Hustle, or a similar P2P texting tools
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with staff and other stakeholders
- Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
“Nice to have” Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL
- Experience using Google BigQuery
- Experience using Looker Studio, Hex or similar
- Interested in getting into Political Data, but don’t know where to gain experience
Compensation: $2,172.50/ bi-weekly per pay period. Employees of the DFL are paid on a bi-weekly basis and receive a competitive benefits package including health care and dental.
