ABOUT NAPAWF

Founded in 1996 by 100 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women, NAPAWF (National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum) is the only organization dedicated to empowering AAPI women and girls and gender non-conforming folks to impact policy and drive systemic change in the U.S. NAPAWF is building a movement for social, political, and structural change by building a multilingual, multigenerational membership that encompasses the diversity of the AAPI community.

Employing a reproductive justice framework, we use organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to assert full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities. The organization also stands in solidarity with other women of color facing oppression and marginalization. NAPAWF focuses on three core issues employing an intersectional approach that holistically centers the experiences and stories of AAPI women and girls:

  • Reproductive Rights and Health

  • Economic Justice

  • Immigration and Racial Justice

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Digital leads NAPAWF’s digital strategy, infrastructure, and cross-functional systems to advance advocacy, organizing, communications, and evaluation goals. This role is responsible for building a cohesive, accessible, and culturally grounded digital ecosystem that supports multilingual engagement, data integrity, campaign execution, and organizational learning.

All work will be grounded in accessibility best practices and designed with cultural nuance in mind, ensuring digital equity is embedded throughout NAPAWF’s infrastructure, tools, and workflows.

LOCATION

This position will work remotely from Washington, DC and will require some travel for retreats, convenings, and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Strategy, Department Structure & Alignment

  • Assess current digital capacity and recommend a scalable team model aligned with organizational goals

  • Define digital role scopes and workflows across Communications, Field, Membership, Development, and Evaluation teams

  • Advise senior leadership on digital hiring priorities

Tools, Systems & Infrastructure

  • Audit CMS, CRM, analytics, email, and project management platforms

  • Ensure data integrity, access control, and security best practices

  • Recommend and oversee implementation of a future-ready digital tool stack

  • Partner with Evaluation to implement dashboards aligned with impact metrics

Cross-Functional Planning

  • Align digital systems with organizational strategy

  • Implement shared workflows and planning tools

  • Identify and resolve cross-functional blockers

Staff Development & Coaching

  • Mentor digital staff and support onboarding of new hires

  • Develop SOPs, templates, and toolkits

  • Recommend learning and professional development pathways

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7–10 years experience in digital strategy or systems leadership

  • Strong cross-functional and change management experience

  • Commitment to accessibility, equity, and culturally responsive design

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfort with databases and digital tools.

  • Alignment with NAPAWF’s mission and values.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 – $150,000 - salary commensurate with experience.

NAPAWF provides a highly competitive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employees and their eligible dependents receive fully covered medical and dental premiums, with NAPAWF also covering co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, and coinsurance. Benefits begin on your first day, ensuring immediate access to coverage.

NAPAWF also offers full-time employees 15 days of vacation in the first year, 20 days of sick leave, FSA options as well as paid holidays between December 25 and January 1 of each year.
