ABOUT NAPAWF
Founded in 1996 by 100 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women, NAPAWF (National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum) is the only organization dedicated to empowering AAPI women and girls and gender non-conforming folks to impact policy and drive systemic change in the U.S. NAPAWF is building a movement for social, political, and structural change by building a multilingual, multigenerational membership that encompasses the diversity of the AAPI community.
Employing a reproductive justice framework, we use organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to assert full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities. The organization also stands in solidarity with other women of color facing oppression and marginalization. NAPAWF focuses on three core issues employing an intersectional approach that holistically centers the experiences and stories of AAPI women and girls:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Database Manager is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and strategic use of the organization’s donor and fundraising database. This role ensures high-quality data management, reporting, and system optimization to support fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational decision-making. The Database Manager serves as the primary administrator and internal expert for the development CRM, partnering closely with Development, Finance, and Operations to ensure data consistency, compliance, and usability.
LOCATION
This position will work remotely from Washington, DC (DMV area).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Administration & Data Integrity
- Serve as the primary administrator for the organization’s fundraising and donor database (e.g., EveryAction, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor, prospect, and contribution records.
- Establishand enforce data standards, naming conventions, and data-entry protocols.
- Conduct routine data audits, deduplication, and cleanup to ensure data quality.
- Manage imports, exports, and system integrations with third-party tools (email, event platforms, online giving, finance systems).
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce regular and ad-hoc fundraising reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., revenue, donor retention, acquisition, LYBUNT/SYBUNT).
- Support Development leadership with data analysis to inform fundraising strategy, planning, and forecasting.
- Prepare reports for leadership, board, and funders as needed.
- Monitor campaign performance and donor engagement trends.
Fundraising Operations Support
- Support gift processing workflows, including online, event, major gifts, and recurring contributions.
- Ensure accurate coding of gifts, appeals, campaigns, and funds in alignment with Finance.
- Partner with Finance to support reconciliation, audits, and reporting.
- Support donor stewardship by ensuring timely acknowledgements and accurate giving histories.
System Optimization & Documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve database functionality, workflows, and reporting efficiency.
- Document processes, data standards, and system procedures.
- Develop and maintain user guides and training materials.
- Stay current on platform updates, best practices, and data privacy requirements.
Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Train and support Development staff and other internal users on database usage and best practices.
- Serve as a key liaison between Development, Finance, Operations, and external vendors.
- Support data governance and privacy compliance efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of experience managing a nonprofit fundraising or donor database.
- Hands-on experience with a major CRM (e.g., EveryAction, Salesforce NPSP, Raiser’s Edge).
- Strong knowledge of fundraising operations, gift processing, and donor data management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Experience supporting political advocacy, social justice, or movement-based organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with finance systems and reconciliation processes preferred.
- Experience with integrations, APIs, or data automation tools preferred.
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, donor privacy best practices) preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to data integrity, stewardship, and accuracy

SALARY & BENEFITS
The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 - salary commensurate with experience.
