Reports To: Deputy Organizing Director

Role Overview

The Regional Organizing Director is responsible for leading and executing the organizing program within an assigned region. This role manages a team of organizers and is accountable for delivering voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals, while building strong relationships with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations.

Regional Organizing Directors translate statewide strategy into high-performing, on-the-ground organizing programs and serve as the primary organizing lead within their region.


Core Responsibilities

Program Execution & Regional Strategy

  • Implement the statewide organizing plan within an assigned region
  • Translate campaign goals into clear daily, weekly, and phase targets for organizing staff
  • Oversee execution of voter contact programs, including canvassing, phone, text, relational, and distributed organizing
  • Ensure programs meet or exceed performance goals and benchmarks
  • Identify challenges and implement solutions to improve program performance

Staff Management & Development

  • Manage, coach, and support a team of organizers and fellows
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and performance evaluations
  • Provide ongoing training, feedback, and professional development support
  • Foster a strong, inclusive, and results-driven team culture

Volunteer Recruitment & Leadership Development

  • Build and scale a robust volunteer program within the region
  • Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders and teams
  • Support volunteer engagement strategies, including events, canvasses, and distributed organizing programs
  • Maintain strong volunteer retention and leadership pipelines

Metrics, Data Integrity & Accountability

  • Track and report on voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and program performance
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and adherence to VAN/VoteBuilder standards
  • Work closely with the Data team to implement targeting and reporting systems
  • Monitor progress toward goals and adjust tactics as needed

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations
  • Serve as the primary organizing point of contact within the region
  • Support outreach to elected officials, local groups, and coalition partners
  • Plan and execute events, town halls, canvass launches, and other regional activations
  • Identify and elevate local voices and storytellers to support campaign messaging

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1–3 cycles of campaign or organizing experience
  • Experience managing staff, interns, or volunteers preferred
  • Strong understanding of field organizing and voter contact programs
  • Ability to meet goals in a metric-driven environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment
  • Experience working on a coordinated campaign or in a battleground state
  • Proficiency with VAN/VoteBuilder, Mobilize, and organizing tools
  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers at scale
  • Experience working with community stakeholders and coalition partners
  • Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to move to Las Vegas, Nevada by May 16, 2026
