Role Overview

The Deputy Organizing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and scaling the statewide organizing program for the coordinated campaign. This role oversees Regional Organizing Directors and organizing staff, ensuring programs are executed effectively, teams are supported and developed, and voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals are met across Nevada.
At its core, this role is both strategic and operational as it serves as a coach to staff, a driver of program execution, and a key partner in building a high-performing, cohesive statewide organizing operation.


Core Responsibilites

Program Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with the Organizing Director to develop and implement the statewide organizing plan
  • Translate campaign goals into clear regional strategies, timelines, and performance benchmarks
  • Oversee execution of voter contact programs, including canvassing, phone, text, relational, and distributed organizing
  • Ensure programs meet or exceed daily, weekly, and phase goals

Volunteer Infrastructure & Organizing Innovation

  • Support the development and scaling of volunteer leadership structures
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Help implement relational, digital, and distributed organizing programs
  • Partner with political, digital and constituency teams to expand reach and engagement

Metrics, Data Integrity & Accountability

  • Oversee performance tracking across regions, ensuring accurate reporting and strong data integrity
  • Work closely with the Data department to ensure effective use of VAN/VoteBuilder and organizing tools
  • Develop systems of accountability to monitor progress and address gaps in real time
  • Analyze program performance and implement improvements

Staff Management & Coaching

  • Manage, coach, and support Regional Organizing Directors and organizing staff
  • Build a strong, inclusive, and results-driven team culture across regions
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching conversations
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of organizing staff
  • Meet teams where they are and provide hands-on support in priority regions as needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Organizing Director and Training/GOTV Director to ensure staff are prepared for program execution
  • Partner with Data, Political, and Operations teams to align strategy and implementation
  • Support large-scale event planning and execution in coordination with organizing and political teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, community partners, and allied organizations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-3 cycles of campaign or organizing experience, including at least one cycle managing staff
  • Experience managing managers or regional teams preferred
  • Strong understanding of field organizing programs and voter contact strategies
  • Proven ability to manage teams, meet aggressive goals, and execute programs
  • Experience working in metric-driven environments with accountability systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Experience working on a coordinated campaign or in a battleground state
  • Proficiency with VAN/VoteBuilder, Mobilize, and voter contact tools
  • Experience with relational and distributed organizing programs
  • Experience hiring, training, and scaling large organizing teams
  • Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to move to Las Vegas, Nevada by May 1st, 2026
