Role Overview

The Training & GOTV Director is a senior leadership role responsible for building and executing the statewide Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) program and training infrastructure for the coordinated campaign. This role ensures that staff, volunteers, and partner campaigns are equipped with the skills, tools, and systems necessary to execute effective, data-driven voter contact programs. The Training & GOTV Director will oversee the development of a comprehensive training program, support staff development and coaching, and lead the planning and execution of GOTV efforts across Nevada. The Training & GOTV director may be asked to complete other necessary responsibilities as assigned by the General Election Director.


Core Responsibilites

Training Program Development & Delivery

  • Design and implement a statewide training program for staff and volunteers across all levels of the campaign
  • Develop standardized curriculum, materials, and best practices for organizing and voter contact programs
  • Lead regular statewide trainings, including onboarding, weekly trainings, and in-person or virtual sessions
  • Identify training gaps across teams and proactively develop solutions
  • Ensure consistency and quality of training delivery across regions
  • Design and execute a campaign wide GOTV training
  • In coordination with the voter protection department, design and execute state wide poll observer and cure training

Program Systems & Coordination

  • Build and maintain systems to track training progress, program implementation, and GOTV readiness
  • Create clear processes for communication, reporting, and information sharing across teams
  • Partner with the Data Director to align training with targeting, turf cutting, and reporting systems
  • Collaborate with communications and political teams to ensure alignment in messaging and outreach

GOTV Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive statewide GOTV plan, including early vote and Election Day programs
  • Translate campaign goals and data targets into actionable field programs and daily metrics
  • Oversee staging location strategy, turf distribution, and resource allocation statewide
  • Monitor program performance and adjust tactics in real time to maximize turnout
  • Coordinate GOTV efforts across regions, partner campaigns, and stakeholders

Staff Management & Coaching

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of Training/GOTV staff
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching conversations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ cycles of campaign or organizing experience, including at least one cycle in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale GOTV or field programs
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs for staff and/or volunteers
  • Strong understanding of field organizing principles and voter contact strategies (canvassing, phone, text)
  • Proven ability to execute programs at scale and meet aggressive turnout goals
  • Experience managing staff and leading teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to move to Las Vegas, Nevada by May 1st, 2026
