Title: Communications SpecialistReports To: Chief Advancement OfficerPosition Location: RemotePosition Type: Full-time, exempt, unionCompensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually***We are no longer accepting applications for this position.***About NAL/AF: NAL and NALAF prepare New Americans to enter the political process and govern with accountability and authenticity.About the Role: A generalist communicator who keeps NAL/AF’s digital presence active and stories front and center across both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities. Works across teams to produce content that engages the community and supports visibility and fundraising.Key Responsibilities- Content Creation, Graphic Design & Digital Media (40%): manage content calendar; draft and publish content across social channels; create short-form video; rapid-response content; monitor trends; analyze performance; develop digital campaign ideas; steward brand; manage asset archive; maintain media lists and pitch stories; draft and place op-eds/earned media.- Email, Web & Fundraising Support (40%): draft/design/send mass emails and texts; maintain lists; testing/segmentation; coordinate fundraising campaigns and collateral; prepare donor acknowledgements; maintain/update websites with basic SEO; analyze platform performance; help maintain CRM.- Storytelling, Events & Engagement (20%): gather and shape stories and first-person content; support events and trainings; create recruitment materials; handle day-of communications logistics; serve as point of contact for internal comms requests; assist with crisis/rapid-response planning.Ideal Skills and Experiences: 2–5 years communications/digital/journalism; strong writing/editing; content and social media management; familiarity with mass email tools and monitoring platforms; ability to translate complex topics; project management; highly organized; strong judgment; cultural competency.How to Apply: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis; do not call or email for status.
