Senior Director of Advertising

The Senior Director of Advertising reports to the VP of Advertising and CEO and is responsible for the creation and implementation of digital ads across the social platforms utilized by NBI on behalf of their clients. Works with the advertising team and NBI client teams, copywriter, and Creative Director to conceptualize and execute digital paid advertising across social media platforms. With the VP of Media Planning and List Acquisition, manages the Ads Team to make sure loading, optimization, and reporting is executed according to established procedures.

This is an exempt position under the FLSA.

  • Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Encourage strong cross-team collaboration.
  • Serve as a leader in developing strategy and new messaging ideas, collaborating with the email, creative, social, and web development teams to bolster our clients’ advertising programs.
  • Analyze and report back campaign metrics to clients effectively and without errors.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on your client’s ad campaigns to help inform future strategy, messaging, and targeting.
  • Lead ads team & fuller staff in ads trainings in all core best practices and platforms
  • Other responsibilities as requested.
  • Qualifications:
  • Digital ad experience for political candidates, advocacy organizations, or organizations that do elections work.
  • Proven success as a manager and/or Senior Strategist or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to not just work as part of a team but the ability to lead a team
  • 4+ years (more is preferred) working on advertising campaigns with Meta Business Manager, Google Search and any DSPs (The Trade Desk, Verizon, DV360, etc)
  • Experience in Excel or Google Sheets, report template design, and other data visualization tools
  • Great all-around communication skills, including strong copywriting skills and the ability to effectively communicate best practices, strategies, plans, and goals to clients and staff
  • Expert attention to detail and organization while managing tight deadlines and multiple projects
  • Comfortable managing multiple client relationships from start to finish
  • Comfortable with different email CRMs to run acquisition campaigns (Action Kit, BSD, Action Network, etc.)

    Strongly Preferred but Not Required:
    Agency experience
    Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS for landing page templating
    Experience pitching clients on ads budget
    Graphic design experience and/or familiarity with Adobe Design Suite and Canva
    Demonstrated commitment to progressive politics

Salary range $106K+ based on experience and qualifications. Raises, bonuses, and profit sharing are also available. In addition to holidays, vacation, sick leave, and other applicable leave, New Blue offers a generous benefits package for full-time employees including 50% medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-sponsored employee assistance program, employer-sponsored life insurance, and a 401k benefits program with employer matches up to 5% after 3 months of service.
