Compliance Manager Job Description
Location: Manhattan
Manager: Director of Compliance and Operations
Salary: $6,500 to $7,000 monthly (commensurate with experience)

Friends for Kathy Hochul is seeking a full-time Compliance Manager for the
campaign of New York State’s first female Governor, Kathy Hochul. The role is
responsible for managing fundraising compliance and supporting financial
operations.
Responsibilities:
● Ensure adherence to NYS campaign finance laws and internal policies
● Serve as the primary bridge between the external compliance firm and the
internal Finance team
● Provide guidance to staff on fundraising rules and reporting
● Supervise the Compliance Associate
● Assist with the preparation of campaign finance reports and deposits
● Manage contract routing and recordkeeping
● Review all monetary and in-kind contributions for compliance
● Prepare necessary compliance correspondence
● Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
● 1–2 years of professional experience in compliance, accounting, law, or
research
● Knowledge of NYSBOE fundraising and reporting regulations is preferred
● Experience with NGP, Quickbooks, and LexisNexis is preferred
● Exceptional attention to detail
● Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality
● Proven ability to meet strict deadlines
● Comfort with and ability to learn new software or databases.
