Advance Associate Description
Location: Manhattan
Manager: Director of Operations and Compliance
Salary Range: $5,525 monthly (commensurate with experience)

Friends for Kathy Hochul is seeking a full time Advance Associate for the campaign
of New York State’s first female Governor, Kathy Hochul. The role manages the
planning, logistics and execution of statewide events.
Responsibilities:
● Work with HQ and event staff to support the execution of campaign events
● Conduct scouting and walkthroughs of event sites and venues
● Coordinate with event hosts and vendors
● Assist with production set up, planning of candidate movements, volunteer
and crowd management, and security coordination
● Support day of logistics to make sure events run smoothly and on time
● Manage the transportation, delivery, and return of campaign materials and
supplies
● Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
● 1-2 years of experience in advance or event production
● Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings,
and frequent statewide travel
● Ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift 50 pounds
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
● Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously
● Well-organized, with strong oral and written communication and
interpersonal skills
● Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
