A democratic congressional campaign based in Staten Island is currently hiring a Campaign Manager. The Campaign Manager will oversee all campaign operations, including writing the campaign plan, overseeing the budget and finances, managing staff and vendors, and onboarding new staff and vendors. The campaign manager reports directly to the candidate. Ideal candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and capable of showing leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and implement a comprehensive campaign plan emphasizing messaging, fundraising, and voter engagement/mobilization.
  • Define roles and negotiates contracts with all vendors, consultants, and staff, including general, fundraising, field, and media.
  • Set priorities in the campaign schedule and coordinates the candidate’s schedule
  • Hire and manage campaign staff.
  • Lead the fundraising team in developing an effective fundraising campaign.
  • Oversee a volunteer and paid field program
  • Manage the campaign’s budget and cash flow
  • Oversees the development of all paid media production, distribution, and broadcast (TV, radio, digital, and direct mail).
  • Build relationships with local community leaders, grasstops and grassroots individuals, members of the press, and potential endorsers
  • Oversee an aggressive earned media campaign.
  • Manage all aspects of fiduciary oversight, legal administration, and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements.

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have at least two cycles of prior campaign management experience and preferably 6-8 years of experience on campaigns. Experience working in New York City is preferred but not required. In addition:

  • Experience managing multiple staff members.
  • Experience overseeing paid media programs.
  • Understanding of VAN and NGP.
  • Experience managing fundraising programs
