Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
Location: This can be a remote work position; applicants can be based anywhere in the US and must be eligible to work in the US. A New England home base is preferred but not required.

The Senior Investment Analyst, Impact Investing should have strong research and analytical skills with experience in researching Impact and Financial performance of public and private market Impact investments. The Senior Investment Analyst, Impact Investing will work closely with the Managing Director of Investment Research to identify, evaluate, and monitor investment opportunities aligned with Clean Yield’s mission of using investments to drive positive social and environmental change.
Responsibilities:
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the alternative and community investment space that align with Clean Yield’s impact priorities.
- Perform financial and impact due diligence on potential private investment opportunities, including community loan funds, private investment funds, and direct private placements. Potential to include publicly traded debt instruments as well.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and investors.
- Prepare investment memos and recommendations for presentation to the investment committee, along with similar content for clients.
- Work with operations team to track and monitor the performance of existing impact investments, including financial returns, liquidity, and social/environmental impact metrics, ensuring compliance with terms and alignment with Clean Yield’s impact goals.
- Assist with quarterly and annual portfolio reviews to evaluate investment performance and alignment with Clean Yield’s objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of investments and collaborate with the team to prepare client-facing impact reports summarizing financial and social/environmental performance.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in Impact Investment analysis.
- A demonstrated commitment to environmental and social justice issues and alignment with Clean Yield’s mission of using the tools of investing for good.
- Experience with or ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Clear and concise writing skills.
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- Success working with teams – ideally including remote teams.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
- An understanding of the importance of and a commitment to managing the compliance, security, and privacy concerns involved in working with personal and financial data.
Working Hours: Full time.

Compensation: $110,000-$130,000

Travel:
Some travel will be required. This will include visiting the Clean Yield office in Norwich, VT (if working remotely), attending Clean Yield’s periodic staff retreats or industry conferences, or visiting Impact Investments. We anticipate that travel could be as frequent as 4-6 times per year for 2-3 days each trip. We recognize that travel can present difficulties for some people and are happy to accommodate individual circumstances when possible.
