Purpose of Role

The Brand Marketing Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing brand marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and attendance for the Obama Presidential Center (OPC). This position will focus on brand management, audience engagement, and data-driven marketing strategies to establish OPC as a premier cultural and civic destination.

Working closely with the Senior Director, Brand Marketing & OPC, this role will develop and implement omni-channel campaigns, ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, and contribute to revenue-generating initiatives. The Marketing Manager will also collaborate across departments to align brand messaging, creative strategy, and audience growth efforts with the Foundation’s mission. In partnership with the Senior Director, Brand Marketing & OPC, the Marketing Manager will support the growth and development of the Marketing and Brand Team.

As the Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll be reporting directly to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and Obama Presidential Center.

Core Job Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Management

  • Ensure brand consistency across all OPC marketing materials, campaigns, and experiences.

  • Develop and implement strategic brand positioning that reinforces OPC’s identity as a cultural, educational, and civic engagement hub.

  • Lead brand storytelling efforts, ensuring a cohesive narrative across digital, social, and experiential marketing.

  • Monitor brand health and audience perception, using insights to refine positioning and messaging.

Campaign Execution & Audience Engagement

  • Manage day-to-day marketing activities, including creative asset development, campaign calendar coordination, and execution.

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support OPC ticketing, membership, retail, programmatic, and revenue goals.

  • Support digital, and social media, ensuring consistent brand messaging across platforms.

  • Develop and oversee content marketing strategies that support OPC’s brand narrative and engage key audiences across digital platforms and the physical campus.

  • Leverage audience research and persona development to inform targeted marketing strategies to drive engagement and conversion across key audience groups.

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, such as the Communications, Design, Finance, Development, and OPC teams to create compelling content and promotional materials.

Performance & Data Analysis

  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance metrics, optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights, in collaboration with central Strategy and Data team.

  • Prepare and present data-driven reports that translate marketing performance into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

  • Use CRM systems and digital analytics tools to measure impact and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align marketing efforts with OPC attendance and revenue growth goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with other Foundation teams to align marketing initiatives with broader organizational goals.

  • Support corporate and partnership marketing efforts, including co-branded campaigns and sponsorship activations.

  • Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and consultants to execute marketing projects effectively.

Project & Budget Management

  • Support OPC marketing budget planning and tracking, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.

  • Work with centralized project management support to maintain timelines, track deliverables, and ensure execution aligns with strategic objective.

Key Deliverables / Outcomes

  • Execution of brand marketing campaigns that contribute to OPC attendance, membership growth, and earned revenue goals.

  • Consistently optimized marketing strategies based on audience insights and performance data.

  • Effective collaboration across teams to ensure marketing alignment with programmatic and operational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or audience engagement. Cultural institution, nonprofit, mission-driven organization or visitor attraction experience is welcomed.

  • Expertise: Strong understanding of brand marketing, multi-channel marketing, audience engagement, and digital marketing trends. Experience with CRM systems, data analytics, and performance marketing preferred.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.

  • Cultural Competence: Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience implementing culturally relevant marketing strategies.

  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in executing campaigns and tracking results.

The salary range for this role is between $87,020 and $108,775.
