Purpose of Role
The Senior Associate, Measurement & Evaluation will lead projects that help the Foundation monitor, understand, and communicate our impact. You will design, implement, report on, and maintain measurement plans for the organization. You will also create clear and engaging communications that help Foundation stakeholders make the best use of the insights you generated.As the Senior Associate, Measurement & Evaluation, you’ll report directly to the Senior Manager, Impact & Insights.
Core Job Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain measurement frameworks: Identify objectives, outputs, outcome indicators, benchmarks, data collection methods, data sources, analysis and reporting plans, etc. for Foundation programs and initiatives, including Obama Presidential Center programs, global leadership programs, Girls Opportunity Alliance, My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, and more.
Develop and administer data collection tools: Develop quantitative and qualitative data collection protocols for such programs and initiatives; design, build, and administer surveys; develop focus group and interview discussion guides; conduct focus groups and research interviews; develop implement data collection plans: Determine appropriate data sources; ensure data is properly stored and managed.
Analyze and interpret data: Use analysis and visualization tools to generate data insights that facilitate accountability, decision-making, impact and storytelling.
Communications and reporting: Create and share data insights with stakeholders, including staff, executive team, Board members, donors, partners, community members, and program participants. This involves preparing regular progress reports, impact reports, and other project-related documents.
Lead engagements with external vendors as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Accessible data insights reports that facilitate accountability, decision-making, impact and storytelling
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience designing and conducting measurement and evaluation projects for nonprofits, Foundations, or cultural institutions.
Experience leading survey research projects, including survey design, programming, sampling, administering, analyzing, and reporting. Expertise with Qualtrics preferred.
Demonstrated experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights across diverse programs and offerings to inform organizational strategy, accountability, decision-making, impact, and storytelling.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and experience building alignment across diverse and internal and external stakeholders.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
The salary range for this role is between $79,040 and $98,800.
This is a hybrid role based at our Chicago office in Hyde Park.
