Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seek a Specialist, Arts & Entertainment Engagement. This job reports to the National Director, Arts & Entertainment Engagement in the Brand and Culture team of PPFA. The Brand and Culture Team works to deliver a cohesive brand expression for our audiences; brand and marketing strategies for the federation; broaden the breadth of our equity, values, and beliefs; and develop strategies for shifting culture toward positive sexual and reproductive health care and rights.
Purpose: Functions as a core member of the Arts & Entertainment Engagement team and provides programmatic, strategic, and administrative support for Arts & Entertainment Engagement activities.
Delivery:
Supports the development of arts and entertainment engagement strategy, and prepares strategic plans on arts and entertainment engagement projects in consultation with the National Director, Arts, and Entertainment Engagement.
Manages and tracks arts and entertainment engagement process and workflow and produces reports on the output of engagement activities.
Manages and maintains entertainment partner databases and platforms.
Conduct research and stay current on information regarding key celebrities, creative professionals, TV and film opportunities, cultural events, etc, with a particular focus on reaching young audiences.
Works with National Director, Arts, and Entertainment Engagement, in collaborating on sexual and reproductive health storylines in film and TV by prospecting potential collaborations, drafting correspondences, and liaising with internal issue experts (ie. education, health media, policy, etc.)
Engagement:
Manages rapid response artist requests and other communications to prominent individuals.
Recruits and serves as internal point of contact for celebrity recruitment in PPFA, PPAF, and affiliate events and activities, including online, in the media, and at external entertainment events.
Manages external-facing arts and entertainment engagement materials, including drafting toolkits, brochures, digital materials, and branded merchandise for gifting.
Works cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Brand Projects, Digital, and Creative teams to enhance collaboration across related projects, and with media, and public policy, as necessary.
Consult with OGC to ensure compliance around TV, film, video, and other collaborations.
Drafts briefing memos to prepare key staff and/or celebrities for events and meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of celebrity engagement, influencer marketing, or communications experience with a proven track record of executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
Extremely well-organized.
Excellent writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, project manage, show attention to detail, and follow-through to completion.
Proactive, results-oriented, self-starter motivated by an interesting and challenging task.
Passion for Planned Parenthood mission.
Strong team player with willingness to roll up sleeves, and dive into work streams with a proven track record in managing external vendors and internal stakeholders of programs.

Travel: 0-5% domestic
