Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is: $29.80- $39 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift times: Flexible shifts Monday - Friday, between 7am - 5pm

Job Summary:
The Medication Program Registered Nurse advances the mission of Planned Parenthood by providing expertise and support to patients using remote communication including phone, text, and video. Under supervision of the Medication Program Manager, the Medication Program Registered Nurse (RN) dispenses medications by mail under remote clinical supervision in accordance with delegated dispensing regulations and clinical quality goals. Medication Program RNs are advocates in implementing our mission of “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.” They may perform other related duties to support health center operations as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure for the State of MN
- Ability to obtain RN licensure in additional states within our affiliate as needed
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Dispenses medications in accordance with relevancy regulatory and clinical guidelines
- Verifies and bills patient insurance and processes payment information
- Packages and ships patient medications and maintain an accurate Medication Dispensed Log
- Prints and affixes labels in accordance with guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Processes patient medication refill requests within the clinical tasking functionality of EHR
- Stocks medications and supports inventory management by monitoring future dated refills and ensuring appropriate ordering
- Manages phone & online birth control refill requests
- Supports automated refill reminder system and updates patient preferences upon request 2
- Participates in team approach to patient care and work cooperatively to achieve productivity standards and exceptional customer service
- Supports the onboarding of new employees and the training of new employees
- Maintains a working knowledge of birth control, abortion medications, and relevant insurance trends, and stays current on industry best practices
- Documents patient communication according to approved protocols and follows approved RN Condition Specific Protocols and the PPNCS Medical Standards and Guidelines (MS&G)
- Refers patients to appropriate community resources and/or Urgent care/Emergency Departments
- Responds to online “Ask a Nurse” portal questions from PPNCS patients
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned
Immunization Requirements:
- Hepatitis B vaccination records and titers
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Chicken Pox vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Tetanus shot documentation
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
