Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and reproductive health. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund) seek a creative and motivated Specialist, Learning and Leadership Development. This job reports to the Director, Learning and Leadership Development in the People, Culture and Equity Division. This individual contributor is responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of asynchronous learning programs within our Learning Management System (internal platform “PP Learn”, utilizing 360 Learning) aligned to PPFA’s leadership development framework, competency model, and enterprise-wide learning priorities. Additionally, this individual contributor may act in support of the Manager, Learning and Leadership Development, as it applies to training administration duties.
Designs, develops, and maintains asynchronous enterprise learning experiences within PP Learn (360Learning), ensuring alignment with PPFA’s leadership development framework, competency model, and organizational learning priorities.
Translates complex organizational initiatives, leadership concepts, and business needs into engaging, accessible, learner-centered digital learning solutions for diverse employee audiences.
Manages the full lifecycle of asynchronous learning development, including needs analysis, course design, content build, quality assurance, implementation, updates, and ongoing optimization.
Applies instructional design principles, adult learning theory, accessibility standards, and platform best practices to create scalable and effective learning experiences.
Partners cross-functionally with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and Learning & Leadership Development team members to gather requirements, align learning objectives, and ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Exercises independent judgment in prioritizing projects, troubleshooting LMS functionality and learner experience issues, and recommending improvements to learning processes and systems.
Monitors learner engagement, feedback, and training effectiveness data to inform continuous improvement and support enterprise learning outcomes.
Provides operational and administrative support related to training coordination, learner enrollment, reporting, communications, and LMS maintenance, as needed in support of the Manager, Learning and Leadership Development.

- Serves as key partner to Director and Manager, Learning & Development
Works in tandem with the Sr. Specialist E-Learning in support of the organizational learning initiatives.
Builds collaborative relationships with People & Culture Business Partners and stakeholders across the organization to support learning initiatives.

Continuously maintains professional growth in instructional design, digital learning tools, and workplace learning trends.
Delivery:
Serves as primary content builder and course designer within 360Learning for asynchronous offerings.
Designs, builds, tests, and publishes high-quality e-learning experiences aligned to Adult Learning Theory and accessibility standards.
Translates subject matter expertise into clear, engaging, and visually compelling digital learning modules.
Develops knowledge checks, assessments, and learner resources to reinforce learning and measure effectiveness.
Updates and maintains existing courses; supports version control and content refresh cycles.
Ensures alignment with In This Together values and equity principles in partnership with Culture and Equity staff.
Leverages visual design tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, etc.) to create clean and engaging learner experiences.
Maintains course enrollments, completion tracking, and reporting within 360Learning.
Provides administrative support for learning cohorts, including roster management, communications, scheduling coordination, and material preparation.
Supports audits of LMS content and learning catalogs to ensure accuracy and usability.
Provides technical support for virtual sessions (Google Meet, Zoom) as needed.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of LMS functionality and emerging e-learning best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, human resources, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, HR, or related function preferred.
Hands-on experience building content within a Learning Management System (360Learning experience preferred).
Strong visual design capability and comfort with presentation and design tools.
Working knowledge of instructional design methodology (e.g., ADDIE) and Adult Learning principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across teams.
Commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission, vision, and values.
Base knowledge of core diversity concepts, including power and privilege, systems of oppression, emotional intelligence, and implicit bias.
