Precision Strategies

USD 85k-105k / year
We are an integrated strategy and marketing agency. Powered by data, we bring world-class experts in each of our service areas to conceive, develop, and run campaigns that help our clients seize opportunities and solve their biggest challenges. Whether it is elevating a brand, shaping a narrative, defining a reputation, navigating a crisis, or persuading and mobilizing an audience, we don’t just break through. We break new ground.
We're hiring a copywriter who can write across formats — headlines, scripts, social posts, memes, blog copy — and who sits comfortably at the intersection of politics, culture, and global trends like crypto and AI. This person will also function as a project lead, working closely with account leads and designers to shepherd projects from initial concept through multiple rounds of feedback to a finished product. They know how to advocate for the copy, make smart concessions when needed, and keep things moving without compromising the quality of the creative.
What You Will Be Doing:
Creative
- Craft & Technical: Write headlines, social copy, scripts, memes, and blog content across a range of clients and audiences. Work with the video team on scripts and messaging for produced and digital video.
- Creativity & Innovation: Partner with art directors and designers to develop concepts where copy and visuals work together.
- Communication & Influence: Lead projects from ideation through delivery, coordinating across account leads, designers, and production. Manage feedback cycles — synthesize input, protect the integrity of the creative, and know when to push back and when to adapt.
Client Management
- Assist with administrative components of account work (e.g. creative requests, project tracking, notes and feedback).
- Able to independently manage small projects and work streams.
Collaboration
- Engages across teams and works respectfully and effectively with others.
- Well-prepared for meetings (has reviewed materials beforehand and pays attention during calls).
- Help guide and share knowledge with junior and/or new team members. Oversees and guides interns.
Project & Time Management
- Owns assigned tasks (e.g. understanding how work ladders up to the larger goal, meets deadlines without reminders, organizes documents for team sharing, comfortable with a variety of tools and hard skills, can manage multiple projects at once, manages up, if necessary).
- Meets deadlines set by client lead.
Strategy
- Drafts error-free content (e.g. video edits, proposals, scripts, and/or presentations) with demonstrated subject matter expertise.
- Adapts quickly to new ideas and client needs, connects daily work to strategic goals.
- Reviews, research, distills insights about online video into actionable recommendations, and escalates issues when needed.
What We Are Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in an agency, campaign, or similar creative environment
- Strong range as a writer — comfortable shifting tone and voice across political advocacy, corporate, and consumer-facing work
- Experience working collaboratively with designers, art directors, and video producers
- Ability to manage projects and timelines while maintaining creative quality
- Familiarity with the political and advocacy landscape is a strong plus
Portfolio Requirements:
- A portfolio website is required and will be the first thing the hiring manager reviews, before your resume. Candidates will be evaluated on the merit of their work. We want to see:
- Ad campaigns (produced or spec)
- Activations
- Headlines
- Scripts
- Video work
What We Will Give You:
- Competitive salaries
- Annual bonus opportunity
- Flexible hybrid remote/in office plan
- Retirement plan with automatic 3% safe-harbor contribution from Precision
- Healthcare coverage - medical, dental and vision with 90% of costs covered by Precision
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- Paid parental leave
- Professional development stipend
The salary range for this role is $85,000-105,000.
We are currently working in a hybrid model and require staff to work in the office 50% of working days per month.
