JOB DESCRIPTION - CANDIDATE SERVICES FELLOW

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) is hiring a Candidate Services Fellow. We endorse hundreds of candidates each cycle and support their campaigns with fundraising, training, volunteers, digital programs, and other resources. As a fellow, you will assist the team with research, targeting, and vetting processes.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, well-versed in current events, and passionate about progressive politics, including democracy and economic populist issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for thriving in this dynamic environment. The right candidate will know how to be flexible and creative in finding answers while still following team parameters and completing tasks on deadline.

Our team is virtual, with staff in DC and around the country.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate endorsement applications for state and local candidates all over the country. Working closely with the Candidate Services Coordinator and Director of Candidate Services, ensure that candidates are thoroughly researched prior to endorsement recommendations and that those recommended for endorsement share PCCC values.
  • Search for compelling candidates to support, and lead outreach communications to make sure those candidates are aware of the resources that PCCC offers to candidates in the form of endorsements, training, technology, press, fundraising, and more.
  • Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets and database entries. The projects you work on will involve tracking a lot of data. You’ll need to be extremely organized and disciplined about keeping the data consistent and up-to-date. Familiarly with Google sheets is strongly preferred.
  • Provide support for the organization’s virtual and in-person Candidate Training Program, including vetting training applicants, managing databases, organizing event logistics, and providing on-the-ground support at in-person training events.
  • Provide logistical support for the organization’s virtual field program, including outreach to potential clients, managing databases, and tracking payments.
  • Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Salary and Hiring

This fellowship offers a full-time, seven-month position with a competitive salary range of $40,000-60,000, including fully-paid healthcare benefits and the opportunity to extend employment after the election.

The Candidate Services Fellow will report to the Director of Candidate Services.

Applications will be considered as they are received. To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter on this page.

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee is dedicated to the achievement of equality of opportunity for all its employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, or disability status.
