The Director of Media leads our planning and buying team in setting paid media strategy, crafting custom plans, and executing those plans for clients ranging from national political organizations to statewide campaigns.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Work directly with Partners to craft a winning paid media plan and strategy for high profile clients, including political candidates, ballot initiatives, campaign committees, advocacy organizations, and nonprofits
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the Media department, including hiring, training, and supervising Media Planners
- Develop relationships with vendors, evaluate new products, and educate staff on advertising technology
- Optimize processes within the Media department to ensure mistake-free trafficking and buying
We’re looking for:
- 6+ years of experience in managing digital media planning and buying, ideally for political campaigns, nonprofits or advocacy organizations
- Experience buying in Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, DoubleClick, Google DV360, and other programmatic ad networks
- Demonstrated experience working with Excel/Google Sheets and managing complex data. Familiarity with DataStudio is desired, but not required.
- Experience working with and managing vendor relationships.
- Experience working directly with clients, including presenting complex plans and reports.
- 3+ years of experience managing a team
- Someone who is excited to work for our Democratic clients
Relevant details:
- Salary band: $106,000 - $127,000

- This is a full-time, exempt position and evening and weekend work can be expected at key points during the election cycle. This position is not included in our bargaining unit.
- This position is based remotely until at least April 2026, after which this position will be based in our office in Washington, DC on a hybrid work schedule, with two days a week in the office and three days remotely. All RTI employees are expected to be up-to-date on all COVID vaccinations and boosters.
