SKDK is looking for a Director of Client/Corporate Finance to oversee financial management for a portfolio of media-based client accounts. The position is a key business partner responsible for all financial client deliverables, including client and project setup, client invoicing, WIP management, revenue recognition, revenue reconciliations, client revenue forecasting, media reconciliations, corporate reporting and profitability analysis. The primary goal of this role will be to support the Paid Media and Public Affairs client leaders with timely and effective financial counsel while also supporting the CFO and other finance team members with month-end close reconciliations, audits, system implementations, ad-hoc reporting, etc.
Responsibilities
- Work closely as the strategic financial business partner to multiple stakeholders on various lines of business to ensure all financial elements of the client relationship are managed, tracked, monitored, and communicated.
- Monitor and track all New Business initiatives with an understanding of probability of conversion and success rates.
- Partner with the Shared Services Financial Team to oversee and track project setups, client media/production invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP management, and ensuring client transactions are posted in accordance with all applicable contractual obligations.
- Stay abreast of changes and modifications to client budgets and prepare rolling, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts.
- Coordinate with intercompany partners on all billings and reconciliations
- Support internal, external and SOX audits and requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
- Provide proactive analytical support and other ad hoc financial analyses to the CFO, client leaders and senior leadership.
- Analyze client agreements and SOWs for billing terms, fees, cancellation terms, duration, and associated deliverables.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of Shared Services team members within the AP, AR and Billing groups.
- Complete and full understanding of financial statement analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 5-8 years of experience in client/corporate accounting finance setting, preferably in an advertising/marketing services organization.
- Experience in revenue recognition of multiple revenue streams.
- Experience and a strong understanding of SOX.
- Financial planning and analysis experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Strong understanding of ASC 606
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Independent, self-starter with problem solving skills
- Superior organization abilities and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team collaborator with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
- Attention to detail
- Team leadership experience and skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Maconomy and other financial management and reporting systems
