ABOUT INEQUALITY MEDIA
Co-founded by former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, Inequality Media (IM) is a 501(c)3 organization and Inequality Media Civic Action (IMCA) is a 501(c)4 organization. IM educates and engages the public about inequality and imbalance of power through the use of digital media. A Berkeley-based non-profit with a core staff of 10, IM employs social media to reach millions of people each week with clear, compelling videos, broadcasts, and posts about what’s happening to our democracy, our culture, and our economy – and what people can do to put America on a path toward a fairer and more just society. Our audience includes over 10 million followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms, and our videos have been viewed over nearly 100 million times.
IMCA also produces and distributes educational videos and digital content to inform the public about economic and social policy issues affecting working people. Some of its content may include commentary on public officials’ policy positions to illustrate contrasts in approaches to advancing economic equity and opportunity. IMCA has also made—and is digitally distributing— the 2025 hit documentary, The Last Class.
