Compensation: $65,500-$73,817 + Special City Allowance if desired applicant lives in a high cost city

Position
The Digital Manager runs effective digital campaigns and uses email, web, and SMS communications to reach new audiences, raise grassroots donations, and tell the story of our organizing. They work with the rest of the Communication Team to set narrative strategy and respond to current events.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Campaigning and Fundraising:
Lead on email and SMS campaigns that mobilize people and fundraise, including writing, quality control, and graphic design
Coordinate Sunrise’s web presence. Monitor website traffic, analytics, and SEO. Track and fix bugs. Make necessary copy and graphic updates.
Lead paid digital advertising campaigns to reach new audiences
Support Sunrise’s Communications team in moments of rapid response by quickly shaping our message and creating content
Assist with day-to-day social media content creation, including copywriting and graphic design
Digital Strategy and Coordination:
Set and manage campaign content calendars for email, broadcast SMS, and paid media.
Set goals and metrics for our digital work.
Work with Sunrise program staff to develop digital strategies for our various organizing programs. This includes bringing new volunteers into programs and telling the story of local campaigns.
Serve on internal teams at Sunrise, including the Digital team, Communications team and specific program teams.
Management and training
Directly manage up to 2 staff members
Manage priority projects for our digital and communications team
Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and contractors.
Develop resources and trainings to build Sunrise members’ skills on digital and communications skills.
Requirements
Must Haves
3+ years of experience running a robust email program that raises money and mobilizes volunteers
Experience with maintaining websites and using platforms like Wordpress
Experience with platforms like EveryAction, ActionNetwork, ActBlue, and Mobilize. Comfortable using CRMs to evaluate data, address technical issues, and improve digital programs.
Strong copy writer for email, SMS, and social media
Grounded in the connections between climate, economic, and racial justice and able to speak fluently to the intersections of these issues, familiarity with the Green New Deal
Experience giving constructive feedback to direct reports and supporting staff to grow over time
Experience crafting narratives and written content in other people’s voices or perspectives
Comfortable working with data to drive strategy around producing content for specific audiences or goals, especially BIPOC and working class audiences
Self-organized and adaptable. Able to coordinate multiple projects on tight deadlines without letting tasks slip
