Digital Strategist
The Texas Democratic Party is seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Digital Strategist to lead our statewide digital presence and message distribution across platforms.
The Digital Strategist will own the Party’s digital voice, shape platform-specific messaging, and ensure our website remains the central source of truth for Texans seeking information about our work and candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive statewide digital strategy
- Lead platform-specific messaging and growth strategies for:
- TikTok
- Instagram
- Facebook
- X
- YouTube Shorts
- TikTok
- Plan and manage content calendars aligned with communications priorities
- Collaborate and oversee compelling digital content (graphics, short-form video, written content)
- Manage and optimize the Texas Democratic Party website as the official information hub
- Track, analyze, and report performance metrics to inform strategy
- Conduct social media listening to identify trends, narratives, and rapid response opportunities
- Coordinate closely with Press and Video teams to ensure consistent, aligned messaging
- Support broader communications initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science, Journalism, or related field or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years experience in digital strategy, political campaigns, advocacy, or related field
- Deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience growth strategies
- Experience analyzing metrics and translating data into actionable strategy
- Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone across platforms
- Experience with website content management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapid-response environment
- Passion for Democratic values and Texas politics
Preferred:
- Experience in political campaigns or issue advocacy
- Familiarity with paid digital advertising strategies
Salary commensurate with experience.
