We are hiring a Part-Time National Organizer to support and expand our Climate Action Campaign (CAC) on college campuses nationwide. The National Organizer will manage existing CAC Ambassadors, develop student organizations at target campuses, and build a network of climate activists across the country. This position will play a crucial role in mobilizing young voters and advancing climate action through grassroots organizing.

When people engage in climate activism and civic participation, they have more power to shape environmental policies and build the sustainable future they envision. We're fighting to stop climate change and put the power back in the hands of the people.

Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time management and support for existing CAC Ambassadors, including pre-semester planning sessions, monthly meetings, and regular check-ins
- Develop established CAC student organizations at 5 target campuses within priority districts
- Identify 5 additional target schools and lay the groundwork for future CAC student organizations
- Recruit and develop 2-3 new ambassadors at target campuses
- Collect 150 new supporter petitions through digital outreach to build the nationwide supporter base
- Recruit a team of 5 new, first-time volunteers and develop them into dedicated climate activists
- Produce 5 group photos demonstrating collective climate action and voter mobilization on college campuses
- Provide management support to the CAC student chapter at Pennsylvania State University
- Develop semester benchmarks and goals with student leadership teams
- Hold bi-weekly meetings with student chapter leadership to track progress
- Roll out CAC priorities and calls to action with necessary materials and resources
Qualifications:
Must have
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop volunteer teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and remotely
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Passion for climate justice and environmental advocacy
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for student meetings
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience working with college student organizations
- Background in environmental science, policy, or related field
- Experience with digital organizing and social media campaigns
- Familiarity with voter mobilization tactics
- Experience working with diverse communities
Salary and Hours:
This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week with a pay rate of $25 per hour.
