The Parkside Group, New York’s leading full-service public affairs firm, is seeking a Political Copywriter. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an award-winning team and to advance candidates’ needs in our action-packed political campaign practice through the fall election.

We are hiring for multiple copywriter positions. Copywriters will report to the Client Leads of the Public Affairs Team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Client Leads and Graphic Designers to ensure that all paid communications are on brand, advance the desired message of the campaign, and meet high standards for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style.

Core Competencies:

  • Comfortable writing in a variety of voices for many different audiences. Ideal candidates will have direct experience in writing for advertising, political campaigns, or elected officials.
  • Exceptional attention to detail. Writers will also assist with proofing materials prior to final delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and write in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines. Comfortable with receiving feedback.
  • Candidates that share our passion for Democratic politics is a plus!

  • The position is a full-time temporary opportunity and is anticipated to last from mid- August through the end of October 2024. We initially anticipate the role will be about 20 hours per week. As the campaign season progresses, hours may vary and are to be determined.
  • We hope to identify one copywriter who would be available for an evening edit/proof schedule to accommodate our creative production process.
  • Anticipated pay is $35 - $45 per hour.
  • Provides sick time in accordance with New York State law.

  • The position is flexible; it can be hybrid in our New York City office or fully remote depending on the candidate’s schedule, availability, and skill.
