Information Architecture and Website Content Strategist Contractor

We are looking for a contractor who will be a key leader on project teams, working directly with clients and partnering with designers and engineers to define and execute comprehensive content strategies. This role is responsible for planning and leading discovery, navigation and sitemap restructuring, content modeling, and auditing activities for large-scale CMS and redesign projects, ensuring the creation of well-organized, planned, and sustainable content that meets both audience needs and organizational objectives.

- 5-10 years of creating UX, IA, and content strategy for complex content systems
- User-centered research and facilitation
- Using research, audits, and analytics to inform recommendations
- Understanding how website content, structure, and performance impacts SEO, AIO, GEO
- Partnering with designers and developers to align recommendations with project constraints
- Partner closely with designers to ensure content strategy supports strong UX
- Using emerging AI tools to analyze content and guide strategic recommendations
- Simply explaining complex IA and content decisions to project teams and client stakeholders
