<h4><strong>Vot-ER and Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association:&nbsp;Partnerships &amp; Civic Health Intern</strong></h4> <p>Organization: Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA)<br>Reporting to: Deputy Director of Partnerships<br>Location: Remote<br>Duration: 2026 SUMMER &amp; FALL<br>Compensation: Academic Credit (Required)<br>Expected hours/week = 15 to 20 hours per week</p> <p><br><strong>Role Overview</strong><br>The Partnerships &amp; Civic Health Intern will serve as a critical link between the Asian Pacific&nbsp;American Medical Student Association and Vot-ER, supporting Vot-ER as we continue to grow&nbsp;and deepen relationships with health institutions across the country.&nbsp;This role is designed for a proactive, detail-oriented student leader who is passionate about&nbsp;the intersection of health and democracy.&nbsp;You will be responsible for deepening current organizational ties, onboarding new partners,&nbsp;and spearheading a specialized initiative focused on the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV)&nbsp;Program.</p> <p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><strong>Partnership Growth &amp; Deep Engagement</strong><br>● Relationship Management: Support the Deputy Director of Partnerships in&nbsp;maintaining high-touch communication with existing partners to increase&nbsp;engagement.<br>● Expansion: Actively identify and "bring into the fold" new health-related organizations&nbsp;to expand our national footprint beyond current partners.<br>● Civic Holiday Orchestration: Prepare and execute mobilization strategies and&nbsp;communications assets for Civic Holidays (e.g., National Voter Registration Day,&nbsp;National Voter Education Week, Vote Early Day).</p> <p><strong>Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program</strong><br>● Student Mobilization: Organize and train health professional students to facilitate&nbsp;voting access for patients who face unexpected hospitalization during election cycles.<br>● Resource Development: Create patient-facing educational materials and bedside&nbsp;toolkits to streamline the emergency ballot request process.</p> <p><strong>Eligibility &amp; Requirements</strong><br>● APAMSA Membership: Must be an active member of the Asian Pacific American&nbsp;Medical Student Association.<br>● Academic Credit Requirement. Candidates must provide documentation from their<br>institution confirming they will receive course credit for this internship.<br>● Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to&nbsp;communicate complex advocacy goals to diverse health professionals.<br>● Remote Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote&nbsp;environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple workstreams via digital tools&nbsp;(Slack, Zoom, CRM).<br>● Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and inclusion.<br>● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to gain trust and give respect to others&nbsp;through honesty, integrity, kindness, empathy, and authenticity.<br>● Acute attention to detail and demonstrated ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines&nbsp;for multiple projects.<br>● Drive to seek what can be improved and offer ways to fix any potential roadblocks.<br>● Comfort admitting what you don’t know and recognizing that feedback is part of the&nbsp;learning process.</p>
