Job Title: Program Manager, Way to Rise
Reporting to: Deputy Executive Director, Way to Rise
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
Way to Rise seeks a Program Manager to support the implementation of Way to Rise strategic objectives. The Program Manager will support grantmaking activities and assist with the development and evaluation of strategic programming to support Way to Rise and Valiente Fund grantees and achieve our goal of building robust multiracial democratic engagement- where it is most undermined - in the south and southwest. The Program Manager will report directly to the Deputy Executive Director, Way to Rise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Program Management, Coordination, and Logistics
Coordinate day-to-day logistics and operations, including all external and internal communications, meetings, and events for Way to Rise.
With the support of senior team members, manage the Way to Rise work plan and implement different phases of strategy.
Support general communications and outreach.
Coordinate and assist with managing external relationships (e.g., with members, partners, and funders, etc.).
With the support of senior team members, manage the implementation of capacity building programming for Way to Rise grantees.
Maintain project management systems like Trello and manage key strategic initiatives to advance the goals of Way to Rise in three strategic grantmaking and programmatic areas: Data, Leaders, and Narrative.
Research and Data Analysis Support
Support basic research and data analysis – including the collection and analysis of data from a variety of databases and primary and secondary research sources.
Gather and analyze data from WTR grantees from grant reports and surveys and evaluations in order to evaluate the impact of programming and grantmaking, and develop strategic insights to move projects forward.
Regularly update the Way to Rise data hub, with data from sources including voter file, census, and other publicly available data.
Overall Program Support
Support the development, maintenance, and updates of project management, data management and grantmaking systems for the Way to Rise program.
Develop reports based on the grantmaking and programmatic activities of Way to Rise to share with partners, donors, board members and other stakeholders.
Develop and update programmatic materials and maintain up to date content on the Way to Rise Hub.
Undertake other special projects, as assigned by the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Way to Rise or Executive Director, Valiente.
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to advance cross-programmatic projects and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as needed.
Provide general and ad hoc reports of grant-related information as requested by staff. Assist with drafting, editing, and formatting internal and external materials – including memos, PowerPoint presentations, reports, website content, etc.
Gather budget, data, and any other information needed for funding reports and proposals
Support the development, maintenance, and update of the Accelerator’s technology platform.
Develop and maintain a Way to Rise digital media content calendar and work with the Communications and Design teams to develop content, with the support of the Deputy Executive Director.
Required Skills
At least 3+ years of program management experience in a nonprofit
Experience working collaboratively as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and manage relationships at different levels
Willingness to engage with and learn about cultural competency and equity-related issues
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Drive suite), including experience using Excel for data analysis and/or budget creation.
Experience with Salesforce, WordPress, Trello, online survey tools (e.g., SurveyGizmo and Survey Monkey), and data analysis tools are a plus
Experience with digital content creation is a plus.
Salary and Generous Benefits Package
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
